Andrew Basenero
Programs Manager, Cofounder
Andrew Basenero is a Ugandan pharmacist and public health professional with a strong background in monitoring and evaluation. He co-founded the Madaraja Foundation, where he serves as the Programs Manager, focusing on initiatives that enhance healthcare access and community development. Andrew earned his degrees from Makerere University College of Health Sciences. His multidisciplinary expertise and commitment to public health have significantly contributed to the foundation's mission of improving lives in Uganda.
Mercy Akol Amuron
Finance and Administrative Officer
Mercy is a seasoned finance expert and leader with extensive experience in international charity organizations. Her expertise spans financial accounting, leadership, audit, tax, and administration, with a proven ability to manage funds from diverse donors, including government bodies such as the European Union and GIZ. A graduate of Kyambogo University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Mercy is also a certified Chartered Public Accountant (CPA). Known for her exceptional communication skills and deep understanding of corporate operations, she is adept at streamlining processes and driving efficiency. Dedicated to innovation and staying ahead of industry trends, Mercy has established herself as a trusted professional, making a meaningful impact in the financial sector.
Naome Kejija
Field Coordinator
Naome is a dedicated Field Coordinator at the Madaraja Foundation, where she plays a pivotal role in empowering women and girls through community-focused initiatives. Her passion for effecting positive change is evident in her leadership and supervision of field teams, ensuring the successful implementation of projects that foster sustainable development. Beyond her professional endeavors, Naome is an alumna of Ndejje University in Uganda, where she pursued her studies. Her dedication to community development and her proactive approach to field coordination continue to make a significant impact in the communities she serves
